![]() I know dress blues and "field gear", but I'd like to avoid packing all of my CIF gear into my somewhat small sedan. Packing: Is there a place I can get a packing list for the AIT? I don't see one published on ATRRS, but I might just be blind. With that out of the way, here's my questions, ask if you need more info about me.ĭay to day: How is the AIT for MOS-Ts in 2021? COVID restrictions? How much fuckery do I need to expect? Do I have to worry about drills? How are E-4 MOS-Ts treated? Same barracks as IET or permanent party/MOS-T specific barracks? Open bay or individual rooms, or something in between? What's the daily schedule there? Can I smoke? Leave post? Have friends (non-trainees) over? ![]() I'm a bit of a shit soldier (I'm bad at customs and courtesies, I got a permanent profile, I'm not great at PT, and I suck at being on time) and I think my only real redeeming quality is trying to help people out, generally regardless of reward/consequence. I spent 10 months in TRADOC, got to Fort Riley, was on the line for less than a year, and I ended up being pulled to HQ PLT to do orderly/training room stuff early 2019.Ĭurrently, I'm the SPC(P)IC of my company/troop training/orderly room, and have been pretty much running it alone since late 2019. This is still my first contract (6 years) - I fucked up in 17C AIT way back in late 2017/2018 and was reclassed to 19D. So, quick bio before I get into my questions: I'm 21, with a car, going TDY to the 92Y AIT within the next 30 days, give or take (so I don't really have time to wait for the next megathread right now). I finally got my medical reclass determination handed down to me, it (being 92Y, supply) is definitely not what I want, but it's not my worst case scenario.
